Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen is pleased to announce that her office is seeking nominees for Military Spouse Magazine’s Military Spouse of the Year Award.
This award is given each year to an outstanding military spouse who has shown exemplary service within their community. Applicants must be individuals who brought about change within their communities, practice volunteerism, exhibit personal sacrifice, promote education, and other spouse related causes. The winner is chosen by the readers of the magazine, as well as a panel of judges.
Military Spouses magazine was designed to address the unique interests for spouses of active duty, as well as reserve troops. The purpose of this publication, which has been in circulation for five years, is to serve as a champion for the community and empower military spouses who are faced with familial separation that becomes part of life through their unique situation. They are often considered “the force behind the force.” The deadline for submissions is November 6, 2009.
